1. Introduction

Installments UX ("we", "our", or "us") is an independent third-party Shopify application that enables merchants to display installment payment breakdowns to their customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app. This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Deema Financial Technology Company, Tabby FZ-LLC, Tamara, or any other payment provider or financial institution.

2. Information We Collect

Store information: When you install our app, we receive your Shopify store domain, access tokens, and store configuration data necessary to operate the app. This information is provided by Shopify through their standard OAuth authentication process.

Configuration data: Settings you configure within the app (such as installment options, amount limits, branding colors, and logo URLs) are stored as Shopify shop metafields on your store.

We do NOT collect: We do not collect, store, or process any customer personal data, payment information, order details, or browsing behavior. The installment widget operates entirely within Shopify's checkout and theme infrastructure.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Authenticate your store and maintain your session
• Display the installment widget with your configured settings
• Provide the admin interface for managing your installment options

4. Data Storage

Session data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (neon.tech) with SSL encryption. Configuration settings are stored as Shopify metafields on your store and are managed entirely through Shopify's infrastructure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond operating the app for your store.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Session data is retained only while the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall the app, all session data associated with your store is automatically deleted. Metafield settings stored on your Shopify store can be removed through the Shopify admin.

7. GDPR Compliance

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and respond to all mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks:

• Customer data request: Since we do not store customer personal data, we confirm that no data is held.
• Customer data erasure: Since we do not store customer personal data, no action is required.
• Shop data erasure: Upon receiving a shop redaction request, we delete all session records for that store.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit, secure database connections, and OAuth 2.0 authentication through Shopify's platform.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
